Sarah Vaughan

Sarah Vaughan started her dance training when she was 11 years old. She took multiple forms of dance throughout her training but felt a deep connection with Ballet, Modern, and Hip Hop.

After graduating high school, she continued her education at Nassau Community College, majoring in Ballet and Modern Dance Composition. There she was on the dance team that competed nationally in Hip Hop and Jazz.

After college, she began teaching on Long Island at Pat's Dance Studio, where she taught children and young adults of all ages and levels. She taught there for the next ten years, honing her craft and learning from veteran teachers. Throughout those years, she became a key role in the creative process for the annual recital, costume and prop design, along with managing the studio.

Her classes are fun, dynamic, upbeat, and offer a light-hearted experience as she lets you find the connection in your own body through movement and breath to become in tune with your mind and spirit.
