Asami Tomida's journey in the world of dance began in Japan, where she was born, raised, and first delved into dance training. Her passion for movement led her to explore various styles including Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, and Gaga. She honed her skills and knowledge, eventually earning her B.A from Nihon University College of Art.

Her career took an exciting turn when she joined Universal Studios Japan in 2009, where she further enriched her performance experience. Seeking new opportunities and growth, Asami made a bold move to New York City in 2010. It was in the bustling dance scene of NYC that she found her artistic home and graduated from Hunter College with a major in Dance in 2013.

Throughout her career, Asami Tomida had the privilege of collaborating with renowned choreographers such as Stefanie Batten Bland, Donna Uchizono, Julian Barnet, Yuki Hasegawa, Doug Varone, Samuel Pott, and Ray Sullivan. Her talent and dedication also led her to work with esteemed dance companies including Nimbus Dance Work, Miami Contemporary Dance Company, and New Century Dance Company.
