Djeina Haruta
PIANO TEACHER, VIOLIN TEACHER
Djeina Haruta, an experienced piano and violin teacher at Music Box School, began her piano lessons and violin lessons at the age of six. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Kishinev Music Conservatory in Moldova, where she studied violin and piano, and later received her Master’s Degree from Mannes College of New York, where she also studied viola.
Djeina is the founder and leader of the Harmonia String Quartet, which was featured on the Rachael Ray Show for a special Valentine’s Day performance. She is also a violinist in the Adelphi University Symphony Orchestra and the Jupiter Symphony Orchestra.
As a dedicated music educator, Djeina draws on her extensive training and teaching experience to bring out the best in her students. She focuses on developing strong technique and musicality, helping students become well-rounded musicians. At Music Box School, she offers violin lessons and piano lessons for students of all ages and skill levels.
Djeina believes that performance is a crucial part of music education and encourages her students to participate in competitions, recitals, and exams such as NYSSMA and ABRSM. Her goal is to inspire confidence and excellence in every student, whether they are preparing for a recital or simply learning for personal enjoyment.
